We are out for the day doing some things including some geocaching. We found a few on our travels and headed back home in DOWNstate New York.
Here are the logs for the caches we found today:
Thought about it for a minute - looked around and hubby was right on it! TFTC - TeamHarpo -...Read Full Post »

As a result of finding 1,000, our friends put out a cache for us to find to celebrate. It is local to us and an easy find.
Here is the log:
First to find. One of one today. We got the notice and went to Ground Zero somewhat immediately. We made the quick find and signed the log under FTF. Thank you so much for...Read Full Post »

Hitting the 1,000 finds mark!
We hit multiple places near where we live and tried to get those last 15 or so caches to hit the 1,000 mark. We were motivated by our friends who were approaching it as well and it was time we got to the first 1,000 find pinnacle. We did find 19 on the day to reach and exceed our goal for the day.
Here are the logs of the finds for today:

We went down for the weekend and since we were here, we visited some of the monuments and also we tried for a couple virtual geocaches. Most of the geocaches in the National Mall are virtual and need a response from the cache owner to get credit. We walked from the hotel and all the way to the Lincoln Memorial.
We had a great time here and here are the logs for the geocaches that we found.

We set out on a road trip to see the family and do some sightseeing in Pennsylvania and Ohio. We had planned a trip to California but unforeseen circumstances prevented us from going on that trip so instead we switched plans and drove to Ohio on a visit to family. We make a stop at Hershey to go through the “factory” and learn a lot about the man who started it all. What an interesting story and the history of the chocolate candies we all know and love here in th...Read Full Post »

Team Harpo went to Camden, NJ for the weekend with our Boy Scout troop. We visited the aquarium and stayed overnight on the Battleship New Jersey. We toured the aquarium in the morning and headed off to the ship. The troop stayed the night after touring the ship with the volunteers and we learned about the history of this great ship. All the volunteers were very good describing the ship and the functions of the spaces we went through. Soon it was time to go to sl...Read Full Post »

We paid our taxes before the dreaded date so we are out looking for other treasures. We head out with our wonderful dog for a walk in the Smith Haven County Park, hoping Trinity doesn’t come across too many other dogs that she will bark at. We take a route that will garner the most geocaches while we are here and make the most of our time. It is a good day with good weather and Trinity is having a great time with us.
Here are the logs of t...Read Full Post »
